TOUR DESCRIPTION:

This tour is the perfect combination for a full day of sun and sand, and then to rest in the middle of nature. Bay Island Cruises offers you a full day of fun on The Great Bay’s Princess Catamaran or Bay’s Princess Yacht to TORTUGA ISLAND or SAN LUCAS & JESUSITA ISLANDS, and then to visit MONTEVERDE.

Tortuga Island (called by local indigenous people “Tolinga”), in the Gulf of Nicoya, is part of an archipelago of several islands with lush natural beauty that are a sanctuary for seabirds, white sandy beaches, and the flora and fauna of our Central Pacific region. Jesusita Island, a small island that is part of the majestic Nicoya Gulf, is full of palm trees and beautiful trails, ideal to enjoy the beach and relax.

After finishing our tour of Tortuga Island, we will transport you to Monteverde to enjoy the amazing nature of one of the principal cloud forests of Costa Rica. The following day, we will experience one of the iconic tours of the region, the HANGING BRIDGES. The tour takes you across eight different hanging bridges in the middle of the cloud forest, where you will enjoy walking among plants, animals and birds that can only be seen in this exclusive region of the country. You will be accompanied by a guide who will inform you about life in the cloud forest. This package is available for two nights.

Maritime transport on board our BAY´S PRINCESS YACHT or THE GREAT BAY‘S PRINCESS CATAMARAN.
On board, you can enjoy tropical fruits, natural drinks, ceviche, a farewell cocktail and snacks.
Live music: Enjoy the entertainment provided by our live musicians; those who are more adventurous can accompany them on your favorite song. Music is on the Bay’s Princess Yacht.
Lunch on Tortuga Island or Jesusita Island:
Appetizers: Two delicious cold salads with dressings.
Main Course: Fillet of fish and chicken, both cooked on the grill, each with their respective sauces, vegetarian rice and sautéed vegetables.
Wine: Accompany your lunch with a glass of exclusive house white wine.
Dessert: Be surprised by the creativity of our chef, and accompany your dessert with a tasty coffee from Costa Rica.

TORTUGA ISLAND:

6:00 a.m.: Ground transportation: San José-Puntarenas-San José, from hotels in the San José metropolitan area, Jacó, Guanacaste and other parts of the country. (For groups, please consult us about transport.)
7:00 a.m.: Breakfast snack served on the bus.
8:30 a.m.: Arrive to Puntarenas.
10:30 a.m.: Depart for Tortuga Island.
1:00 p.m.: Lunch on the island.
4:00 p.m.: Depart Tortuga Island.
6:00 p.m.: Arrive to Puntarenas.
6:10 pm.: Transfer to Monteverde.
8:00 p.m.: Arrive to Monteverde to Hotel Heliconias; evening free. For the following day, we will coordinate the time of the hanging bridges tour.
1:30 p.m.: Depart for San José.
6:00 p.m.: Approximate arrival to San José.

SAN LUCAS/JESUSITA ISLANDS:

6:00 a.m.: Ground transportation: San José-Puntarenas-San José, from hotels in the San José metropolitan area, Jacó, Guanacaste and other parts of the country. (For groups, please consult us about transport).
7:00 a.m.: Breakfast snack served on the bus.
8:30 a.m.: Arrive to Puntarenas.
9:30 a.m.: Arrive to San Lucas Island; guided tour through the old prison.
10.45 a.m.: Depart San Lucas Island to Jesusita Island.
11:15 a.m.: Bird-watching on Bird Island.
12:15 p.m.: Arrive to Jesusita Island.
12.30 p.m.: Lunch served on Jesusita Island; walk trails of the island.
4:00 p.m.: Depart from Jesusita Island.
5:30 p.m.: Arrive to pier in Puntarenas.
5:15 p.m.: Transfer to Monteverde
7:15 p.m.: Arrive to Monteverde to Hotel Heliconias; evening free. For the following day, we will coordinate the time of the hanging bridges tour.
1:30 p.m.: Depart for San José.
6:00 p.m.: Approximate arrival to San José.
