With the conviction of a humble farmer who always dreamed, and who followed his dream to have his own business, Mr. Luis Fernando Sánchez Mora began at a young age to work in a maritime tourism agency; with the passing of time, the Bay Island Cruises Corporation came into existence, proudly owned 100% with national capital by Mr. Sánchez Mora.
For many years, he devoted himself to market the tourist destination of Tortuga Island with the yacht Bay Princess; and then later, responding to the great demand for the destination, he had the idea to build a boat with greater capacity and comfort to satisfy our partners (travel agencies), and thus to market other destinations within the Gulf of Nicoya.

With the comfort of our passengers in mind, The Great Bay’s Princess Catamaran has several levels for maximum enjoyment:
First level: This area is used by our crew. There is a fully-equipped kitchen for special events, and also rooms for crew members, the engine room and storerooms.
Second level: It has a spacious main lounge, which has an incredible panoramic view. It has air-conditioning, furniture, restrooms, and a bar serving delicious cocktails. If you are adventurous, you can ride on the bow (front); there you can enjoy the sun, sea breezes and the spectacular views of the Gulf of Nicoya.
Third level: This is where our cockpit is located, along with a sun deck, restrooms, bar, tables and chairs, and our Jacuzzi for 25 persons.
Our catamaran is ideal for special events such as: weddings, birthdays, incentive groups, end-of-year celebrations, New Year’s celebrations, or any other maritime activity. It can be operated both day and night.

The Bay’s Princess Yacht is the perfect boat for smaller groups to navigate the Gulf of Nicoya.
It has capacity for 57 passengers plus crew. It was built with the latest technology, including satellite navigation and according to all international safety requirements. Our staff is highly trained in emergency and evacuation plans.

Covered area: Our main salon offers an incredible view. There are restrooms and a bar serving the best cocktails. Up on the bow (front), you can enjoy sunshine, sea breezes and spectacular views of the Gulf of Nicoya.
Upper level: This is our cockpit with enough space for passengers to suntan; and with benches to rest.
